FAQs
Do I need a referral to book an appointment?
No referral is needed. You’re welcome to contact me directly to arrange an initial session.
Can I use a Mental Health Care Plan?
Yes. If your GP provides a Mental Health Care Plan, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
Do you accept NDIS funding?
Yes – if you are self-managed. I do not accept plan-managed NDIS funding directly at this time. If you're plan-managed, please speak with your Plan Manager about possible funding options.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is a chance to get to know you and your child, explore your concerns, and begin forming a shared understanding. We’ll talk about goals and what kind of support might be most helpful moving forward.
How many sessions will my child need?
Every young person is different. Some benefit from short-term support, while others may need longer-term guidance. We’ll work together to review progress regularly and adjust the plan as needed.
Do you provide assessments?
As an Educational and Developmental Psychologist, I’m qualified to conduct and interpret a wide range of assessments. At this stage, my focus is on therapeutic work – supporting children and families through one-on-one sessions, groups, and parent consultations.
However, if your child has had an assessment completed elsewhere, I’m more than happy to review and integrate those results into our therapeutic planning. I also work closely with families and schools to help interpret reports and apply recommendations in practical, meaningful ways.
If a new assessment is needed, I can guide you toward trusted colleagues who specialise in this area, or let you know when I have availability.
